Diego Redd : Dog Eat Dog
Fresno, California bred emcee Diego Redd has a few things going for him: talent, respect and a great team of people behind him which will prove relevant in his future success. "Dog Eat Dog" is a street album showing the Cen-Cal spitter’s versatility on bangers like "Savior" and "Miser." Keeping with the mixtape side of a street album is the unreleased version of the now popular Boost Mobile commercial "The Whole City Behind Us" with Kanye, Ludacris and Diego, instead of The Game. With Diego’s city behind him, he gave the love back by making the Fresno anthem "In the No". Being it such a good time for the West Coast scene right now, Diego’s re-entrance to the game couldn’t have come at a better time.

Clout: With the current resurgence of the West do you think that it’s a perfect time for you to make a name for yourself?
Diego Redd: Most definitely; the timing is perfect. I’ve been waiting for the West to get a look and now that the industry has its eyes on us I have to stand up and play my part because I offer a key element not only to the West coming back, but in the West staying around and relevant in the future.
C: Are you trying to parlay the independent hustle to a major deal or are you soured from the industry after your whole Def Jam experience?
D: Let me make this clear. The time I spent as an artist signed to Def Jam was the best time of my life. I learned things other artists would sell their souls to learn, met contacts niggas travel around the country to meet, and I also proved that I am just as good as I’ve always proclaimed to be by them signing me in the first place. Many artists go through what I went through. T.I. went through it, 50 Cent went through it, and now Diego Redd has gone through it. I’m not bitter, I’m better.
C: Are there any labels that are interested?
D: I have a lot of good looks right now. They know who I am. They are inquiring about what I do. They are looking and I’m looking back – hard. I’m just waiting on the right offer and the right situation. I know what I’m worth. I know what I can do and as they keep listening and watching me they shall see the same.
C: What if Def Jam got at you again?
D: Def Jam ain’t disrespect me. It’s business and if they come correct, may they come too. Def Jam has always been a factor in the game and if they respect me as a factor they’ll holla at young Diego Redd – again. They have a new staff. I’m a new nigga. Why not?
