TRED BTM 3A INTERVIEW

Interview by CORE

If you have not heard of TRED then you know nothing of the Seattle graffiti scene. He is the only writer to have numerous and continuous tags running for over two decades in Seattle, a city notorious for heavily criminalization, targeting, and expulsion of graffiti writers. He started the nefarious 3AK with his brother SEED. He reformed BTM in the late nineties and serves as one of its several captains today. He introduced me and numerous others to graffiti and lives the life of a successful writer and entrepreneur today.

BENNY DIAR INTERVIEW ON SKATE ALL CITIES

“To start off the new year, Skate All Cities is proud to announce our latest interview with DIAR.  For all those who don’t know the history behind Benny aka “DIAR”, he was an aspiring graffiti artist who had recently been involved in a car accident a couple of years ago which paralyzed him from the neck down.  Even though he has faced – what to many people considered in this world – a lifechanging setback, his passion for art and graffiti has never stopped.  In order to keep producing art he discovered a new technique; by using his mouth.”  You can read the full interview by clicking HERE.

TRACK SWITCH: ISSUE 1

I hit up Misery to talk about the Zine and figured I would post up our Q&A, as it was pretty insightful, my questions are italicized. (Full read after the jump) MORE

Having people see your shit is cool, but the experiences you gain from painting-bombing out late, lurking, death defying climbing and even just exploring-that shit is why I paint. I suppose it’s also a creative response to general injustice and a big “fuck off” to the man…nah mean?
